"If it's a big party, Puff Daddy gotta be involved."
DJ Khaled's superstar son, Asahd, is about to turn 1 on Oct. 23, and the "Wild Thoughts" mastermind told Jimmy Kimmel on Monday night (Oct. 16) that they'll be celebrating in a major way. He's already rubbed shoulders with the biggest stars in the world and worn clothes that men spend years working to be able to afford -- but Khaled promises something even bigger.
"I love that boy," Khaled told Kimmel. "Speaking of his birthday, I just got off the phone with Puff Daddy because we're throwing the biggest birthday party for Asahd. It's gonna be big. So, you know, if it's a big party, Puff Daddy gotta be involved."
"Does Asahd care?" Kimmel reasonably asked. "Doesn't he just want a bounce house and not Puff Daddy?"
"Well, you know, Asahd," Khaled responded, "he a don. He a king."
Asahd, which translates to mean "lion" in Arabic, was the executive producer on Khaled's most recent album Grateful -- making him more affluent and successful than most of us will ever be before he turns one.
"Speaking of being executive producer, the album that he's the executive producer on went platinum," Khaled told Kimmel. "It went platinum in two months. It went gold in two weeks. My biggest album, and my son is my biggest blessing."
Asahd will assuredly remember absolutely nothing about the party of the year, but his 1.6 million Instagram followers will equally assuredly be jealous.
